Welcome!

A Note from our Executive Director

As 2021 approaches the start of its campaign season, United Way of Schuyler County has experienced many changes brought about by the coronavirus and its ongoing threat to our community.

While our revenues have been down in some areas, many individuals have increased their annual donation. What is most obvious is that those that have given in the past continue to support United Way. They recognize the need for the agencies that United Way contributes to and recognize the fact that Schuyler County friends and neighbors benefit from those agencies. The more money we raise, the more we give to each of our agencies.

What we need are new donors. I would like to reach out to each and everyone of you that donate and ask you to try and get a friend or acquaintance to donate as well. Some people still do not understand that United Way encompasses twenty non-profit agencies that serve Schuyler County residents. If they donate to United Way, they donate to the Humane Society, Schuyler Health Foundation, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Bib Pert Memorial Library, The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler, in addition to fourteen other agencies. Their one single donation is divided up amongst twenty agencies and distributed according to the funding application that they submit each year.

Thank you to those of you that have continued to support us and thank you in advance to those new donors that we hope will consider donating to the 2021 campaign. We are still an all-volunteer board of directors that work hard to keep our United Way going. Help us help our local friends and neighbors.
